With the wave of green energy that is moving across the Midwest, Illinois has committed to a path of 100% clean energy and to be carbon-free by 2050. The bill was passed in September of 2021 and includes both Wind and Solar energy generation giving Power Companies like Ameren and Duke Energy opportunities to build and maintain these photovoltaic facilities.
Within this bill is a commitment to grow workforces and local labor Illinois has made it a priority to partner with local contractors like Schomburg & Schomburg Construction to help build a local Professional workforce that not only introduces new skillsets but strengthens local workers, their families, and thereby impacting our communities that make up this great state.
